Updated 2-bedroom apartment located at 1718 Mecklenburg Rd. This is a large property with a large common-area back deck looking east towards Cayuga Lake (view is mostly trees though!). Big windows and ample yard. Tile and hard floor throughout, spacious kitchen with dishwasher, ample closet space. This apartment has one good sized bedroom and one smaller bedroom that could be a kid's room or office.

Off-street parking included. This is a good intermediate location between Ithaca and Watkins Glen or even Ithaca and Trumansburg. There is plenty of room on the property for tenants to have a garden.

Apartment is unfurnished; tenant pays electricity; landlord pays heat and hot water.

Unit is available Aug 1. To schedule a showing, please complete a rental application. Security deposit equal to one month's rent due at signing of lease, first month's rent due prior to move-in. Rent will be prorated for whatever portion of the first month remains; rent due on the 1st of the month after that. To complete the basic application, click "Apply to this listing".

Pet policy: monthly pet rent with no pet deposit. $25/cat and $35/dog.

We allow dogs that are spayed/neutered, non-aggressive (a video of your dog at the dog park would be helpful here), house-trained (no pee pads), and well-exercised / non-destructive. We consider well-exercised to be a minimum of two 30-45 minute walks per day, not simply taking dogs out to pee and coming back inside. We have had plenty of damage in the past from nice dogs that were not well-exercised and were simply bored while their owners were at work. We expect dog owners to pick up after their dogs outside.

We allow cats that are completely litter-box trained and whose owners are really on top of regularly cleaning the litter box. We have also had plenty of damage in the past from cats who chose their own spots to pee because their litter boxes were not cleaned often enough.

Terms: Security deposit due at signing of the lease. First month's rent due prior to move-in. First month's rent will be prorated depending on move-in date, with full month's rent due on the first of the month after that.

We ask all interested parties to complete a basic application with references. After we review the application, we can schedule a showing. After you have had the chance to see the apartment, you will be able to finish the application process and pay a screening fee which covers a credit and background check. The screening fee is a one-time, nonrefundable fee of $40 which pays directly for the credit check.
